This contemporary residence was designed for a busy family of five. Expansive windows take advantage of the large North Dallas lot, providing plenty of natural light to the interior spaces with a large covered patio extending the inside outdoors. The home was crafted to stand up to the additional wear and tear of not only three kids, but a wheelchair. To handle the extra wear, steel was used prevalently throughout the home. Both owners work from home, and the public spaces were thoughtfully planned to serve as both living and office space. For example, the formal dining room is situated adjacent to the office to serve as a conference room when needed. The office is located near the entry so any business acquaintances need not enter further into the private realm of the house. Consideration was given to the scale of the home in relation to the neighborhood, and the design provides a comfortable and livable modern residence for this active family.
